Man found guilty of double murder and attempted murder

Background:

On July 30, 2022 at 2:45 p.m., police received reports of a shooting at the South Surrey Athletic Park located at 14600 20 Avenue, Surrey, BC. Surrey Detachment first responders attended the location and found Jordan Krishna, Robeen Soreni, and Harbir Khosa, all suffering from gunshot wounds, in what was believed to be a targeted incident.

Mr. Krishna and Mr. Soreni died as a result of their injuries, while Mr. Khosa was treated for life-threatening injuries. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and worked closely in partnership with the Surrey Detachment, BC Coroners Service, the Integrated Forensic Identification Services (IFIS) and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC).

On August 5, 2022, 25-year-old Surrey resident Bryce Dallas Campbell was arrested in relation to the homicides. Search warrants were obtained by IHIT investigators for multiple locations throughout the Lower Mainland which resulted in evidence being recovered.

On August 22, 2022, two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder were laid against Mr. Campbell, who remained in custody following his arrest on August 5, 2022.

Update:

On February 10, 2025, Mr. Campbell appeared in the Supreme Court of BC in New Westminster and he was found guilty of all charges by a jury. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks. A conviction for murder carries an automatic life sentence, with the period of parole ineligibility to be determined by the trial judge.

Yesterday’s guilty verdict was the result of collaborative efforts between IHIT, our policing partners and the BC Prosecution Service, says Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT.

More importantly, it delivers a strong message that the taking of two lives and a disregard for public safety will not be tolerated. This took place at a location where young athletes and their families expected to feel safe. Our thoughts continue to be with the families of the victims as the trial concludes.
